The project was formed in late 2003 under the name of Armagherion and changed its name to Animae Capronii in early 2004. Before the band's earliest tapes, other songs were recorded on tape, but they remain unreleased.

Almost all the Animae Capronii's recent relases are avaiable for free download from the official website of the band.

Animae Capronii never had a real bass until summer 2013, when Cesare bought a 2nd-hand one from his bandmate bassist in MOEX The Bliss.
