Biografía

Formed in 1999 as a one-man project by Shamgar. 

Slechtvalk's debut album 'Falconry' was released in 2000, which received good reviews from various magazines. 

During the following year a full band was formed and recorded and released its second album 

'The War that Plagues the Lands' and a split-album with Kekal ('Of Chaos and Warfare') in 2002.

In 2004 the band entered the studio for a third installment:

"At the Dawn of War" was released in 2005 together with a live-dvd recorded at Hedon, Zwolle (NL) entitled 

'Upon the Fields of Battle'.

In the following years, the band experienced some line-up changes and returned in 2010 with their latest masterpiece 

'A Forlorn Throne', which was recorded in Sweden at Studio Mega by Johan Örnborg and mixed/mastered 

by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street (both known for their work with Opeth & Amon Amarth among others).

In 2015 Slechtvalk recorded their fifth studio album with Lasse Lammert at LSD-Studio (Germany), 

which is scheduled for release in 2016
